“Desligado” is an introspective attempt to decode the current world. This time, Toninho opens up to us with his only voice and guitar to offer us some calm in a minimalist and wayfaring musical style. The album « Desligado » transports us far away from everyday life through the sound of Bossa Nova. Alone with his singing and his instrument, Toninho sails through words and dissonances. “Desligado came out of the need for a stop, a break! In 2018, while on vacation, I felt disconnected, a little lost from the speed, the overproduction, and the eternal overkill. I started to put into words this feeling of strangeness, dissonance, and the need for somewhere else, and very quickly the album appeared to me.”
